1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your browser or device when you visit. They help the site remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how visitors use the experience. Some cookies are set by the site you are visiting (first-party); others are set by services the site uses (third-party).
Similar technologies (such as local storage, session storage, and pixel tags) work the same way. References to "cookies" in this policy include those similar technologies where applicable.
2. How Rolize Uses Cookies
Essential cookies
These cookies are required for the site to function. They handle basic operations such as page navigation, security, and remembering whether you have dismissed a notification. The site does not work properly without them, so they cannot be disabled through a cookie banner.
Preference cookies
These cookies remember choices you make on the site (such as your preferred work-mode filter or accordion-expanded state) so the experience stays consistent across visits.
Analytics cookies
When Google Analytics 4 is configured for the Rolize marketing site, it sets cookies (typically _ga and _ga_*) that record aggregated, anonymized usage data such as pages viewed, session length, and approximate location. This helps us understand which content is useful and where to invest in improvements. We do not use this data to identify individual visitors.
Marketing and advertising cookies
Rolize does not currently use marketing, advertising, or remarketing cookies. We do not run pixels from Meta (Facebook), LinkedIn, TikTok, or similar advertising networks on this site. If that changes in the future, we will update this policy and add the appropriate consent controls.
3. Managing Cookies
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you:
- View which cookies are stored on your device and delete them individually or all at once.
- Block third-party cookies or all cookies from specific sites.
- Open browsing in private or incognito mode so cookies are cleared at the end of the session.
Blocking essential cookies may break parts of the site. For instructions specific to your browser, see the help pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge.
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking specifically by installing the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
4. Third-Party Cookies
The only third-party service currently dropping cookies on Rolize is Google Analytics 4, used for usage analytics. Their data practices are governed by Google's own policies, which you can review at policies.google.com/privacy.
Note: if Google Analytics is not configured for this environment (no measurement ID set), no analytics cookies will be set at all. Only essential and preference cookies will run.
5. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, including when we add or remove tracking tools. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and may notify you through the site or by email.
